At the Maine Public Relations Council’s annual Awards Ceremony held virtually on February 24, Broadreach Public Relations earned three Maine Public Relations Council Golden Arrow Awards─ the state’s highest recognition for public relations, communications and marketing professionals.
The MPRC Golden Arrows recognize the best work of Maine’s public relations, communications and marketing professionals. Since 2007, Broadreach has earned more than forty industry accolades for its work across a range of communications disciplines, including corporate communications and change management, crisis communications, public affairs, media relations, special events, and tactical communications.
This year, Broadreach earned a Silver Award for Public Affairs for its work with the Maine Brewers’ Guild regarding changes to Maine’s distribution laws; a Silver Award for Media Relations for telling the story of Biddeford-based Brown Dog Carriers, a trucking & logistics company that decided to lend a “helping paw” to the COVID-19 pandemic response; and an Honorable Mention for Special Events for supporting the US Navy Office of Community Outreach on developing and promoting a fully-virtual Portland Navy Week.
“This year more than ever, I am so proud of all that our team has accomplished,” said President and CEO Linda Varrell. “From shifting to full-time remote work to dealing with the persistent uncertainty of the pandemic, our team remained flexible, understanding and focused on the needs of our clients. Everyone stepped up.” “These accomplishments also would not have been possible without the continued trust and support of our clients, who put their faith in us as we collectively navigated these challenges.”
